Simile versus Metaphor (Figures Of Speech) in English literature


 1, Simile=Definition=Indirect comparison between two dissimilar things, in which both are promoted by usage of "Like or As". Literary figures use it, to increase impact of text, depth it's meaning, decorate as well as digestable to all.

e.g=He runs like a cheetah.

2, Metaphor.Direct comparison between two dissimilar things, without usage of "like and As", is called Metaphor.

e.g= He is cheetah 🐆.

         My son 💖 is lion 🦁.
